Tamlyn Hetem

Tamlyn completed a BA in Sport Science at Stellenbosch University in 2015 and a BHSc with Honours in Biokinetics at Wits in 2017. She is registered with with the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA) as well as the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

Tamlyn has worked in a clinical and gym setting where she gained knowledge and experience in working with various orthopaedic, neurological and auto-immune condition rehabilitation, chronic disease management and sports specific rehabilitation. She has a keen interest and passion in the rehabilitation of spinal and neurological conditions.

Tamlyn practices Biokinetics in a functional way, meaning she focuses on practical, hands-on forms of rehabilitation without the use of large or complicated equipment. Her main goal is for her patients to walk out of their Biokinetics sessions stronger, confident and with a decrease in discomfort. Making a difference in someone’s life gives her great pleasure and this is where she centres her focus throughout her treatment process with her patients.

She enjoys being outdoors and in her spare time Tamlyn thrives on quality time with her family and cats. When people first meet her they find her friendly and gentle.

Leané completed an honors degree in Biokinetics at North West University in 2024.
She is registered with with the Biokinetics Association of South Africa (BASA) as well
as the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).


Leané acquired knowledge and experience by working with various clinical and
orthopaedic conditions. She is passionate about helping patients through functional
training and to enable patients to successfully achieve their goals, whether it is
increased independence in their daily lives or to get back onto the training field. She
also aims to promote the importance of physical activity and improving the overall
well-being of patients.

She enjoys hiking, going to the beach and all things adrenaline rush related.
